Yesterday, I had a go at working on a hexagonal jewellery box. I love all the embellishments from 13arts: flowers, metal wheels, chipboards, coloured grits and glitters. They give you so many arrangement options and possible outcomes.

The whole process included using loads of gesso to create white base for colour and gel medium to attach the embellishments; loads of waiting time to let the gel/gesso dry after each layer and after each new texture/dimension/element was added. Once everything was completely dry, I used a number of blue Ayeeda mists to colour the installation. As the final touch, I sprinkled the whole box cover with white matte glitter. I really like the outcome…and so did my mum-in-law as she claimed the box the moment she saw it. I even had to sneak into her room to take the photos of the finished product as she took it with her straight away.

What do you think?

See you soon.
