Today’s page is my entry into ScrapAfrica Sketch Challenge no.60 – you can see the sketch to work with above.
It was my first time working to a layout and using two photos on one page;
I still had some pics from last summer’s trip to Wales so they worked perfectly.
I used texture paste and stencils to make white swirls on the background – they lightened up the sandy paper.
On top, I used plum and teal mists to create layers of colour and then added more plum and teal stencils.
I used layers of various materials to create clusters under the photos: book pages, scraps of paper, burlap strips, paper tags, distressed muslin cloth and, as embellishments, chipboard and metal shapes and grey grit.
