Today I decided to do something different – tags. I have never worked on tags before as they seemed too fiddly and small but when I saw this months challenge on Words & Paintery blog, tags were the first idea that came to my head.

Words & Paintery Challenge March-16

I cut the tags using Silhouette as I wanted to use watercolour paper as a base. Using Heidi Swapp Colour Shine mists I created the background on which I added texture with Finnabair Snowflake paste and Tim Holts flower stencil. On that, I sprinkled white mica flakes and white glitter from 13arts.As embellishments I used some old metal combs which I painted with white gesso, pink thread, white floral bristle and pink and white flowers. One assembled, I sprinkled some white and glitter pink inks from 13arts all over the tags and…tadah!

Here are some close-ups of the end result.
