Today, I made yet another blue page. I wanted to use the diamond shape in my work and build the rest of the page around it.
I used 7Dots Studio paper as a base and Rebecca Baer stencil with white texture paste to create the first layer of texture and diamonds’ first appearance in the corner. I sprinkled various shade of blue gauche paints and white and black acrylic inks in a circular shape linking the corner designs and creating a base for the photo frame.
On my Silhouette portrait I cut two distressed diamond backgrounds; sprayed the top one with the same paints I used on the page and attached it on top of the white one to create dimension. Under the photo, I placed some floral bristle. Then assembled blue and white flowers on the right side of the photo. As a final touch, I randomly dabbed gel medium around the photo frame and sprinkled white and blue grit.
Here are some close-ups.
