First of all, let me share some news with you…Starting this month we will be having only one monthly challenge and it will run for an entire month which will give you so much more time to play with it and make sure you join us for all the fun and the awesome prizes. We will alternate between sketch and mood board; one month it will be a sketch the other one a mood board.
Today, I am sharing with you the newest Scrap Africa Sketch challenge no74 and my interpretation of the sketch.
As always, we have some goodies up for grabs.
This month is no different, but this month we have 2 random giveaways! 😉
For this challenge, there is a FabScraps surprise parcel AND a BoBunny surprise kit up for grabs.
So we would love you to play along and show us what you create! 😉
You have until 31 May 2016 to upload your entries.
Here is my interpretation of the sketch.
I started by creating the background; for that I used 3 circular stamps with both white embossing powder and black archive ink to recreate the pattern on sketch background.
On that, I used green mists to create the circular frame for the photo.
When the paint dried, I used Tim Holtz Idea-ology stickers mirroring the horizontal embellishments from the sketch and sprinkled amber micro-beads creating a textured circle around the picture.
To finish, I used green Prima Flowers instead of the original gears in the sketch.
Here’s the result.
And some close-ups…
I will be looking out for your creations! Good luck!
