Today’s layout is inspired by not one but two mood boards! I found both of them very pretty and decided to make a page that will reflect the celebratory mood and christmassy colours that both of them represent.
The first mood board is Scrap Around The World challenge 32 – it is their last challenge so even more reason to take part.
The second mood board is from Berry71Bleu “Festive Fancy” December challenge
Here is my interpretation of both of the mood boards in one scrapbooking layout.
I used loads of gold and red/berry colours and, as always, textures and layers are my main focus.
As background, I used paper from Scrapberry’s on which I I created texture using Snowflake paste from Finnabair and a stencil from Hip Kit Club. Once that dried, I sprayed golden and berry mists over it to create layers of colour; while the mists were still wet, I randomly sprinkled purple mica flakes and let the whole thing dry overnight.
The next day, I assembled a frame for the photo using watercolour paper and sprinkling it with the same paint I used for the background; I glued the photo on top. Under the photo frame, I placed layers of dyed lace and florist thread; once assembled, I decorated it with cones and berries (all from 13arts).
As finishing touches, I added more mica flakes, red and golden glitter and randomly smeared Snowflake paste on the layout before splashing Glitter Pink ink all over the page.
Here are some close-ups of the page.
I hope you like it.
Thanks for stopping by and see you soon.
